With Unspooly, the AI visibility platform I co-founded, I track how often ChatGPT, Gemini and Perplexity mention and cite a brand, which sources they rely on and how the brand compares with its competitors. In consultancy projects I use this data to plan concrete changes, such as crawler access, structured data, content structure and the third-party sources AI engines tend to cite.

Sustainable software is still a large part of my work, and it covers the whole stack. It starts with the codebase: architecture and code that do the same work with fewer resources. It continues with performance, so every request and render needs less energy, and with infrastructure: efficient hosting, caching and renewable energy. At Superstorely, the sustainable e-commerce project I co-founded, we applied this to online stores. I analyze existing platforms, measure their carbon footprint and help teams improve each of these layers.

The two areas share a lot of groundwork. Clean markup, structured data and fast pages help AI crawlers read a site, and they also reduce the energy needed to serve it.
